A Message from Our Founder
“My journey into pathology and clinical research began early, during my time conducting research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). As a biochemistry graduate, I was deeply engaged in scientific discovery while contemplating whether to pursue medical school or contribute to patient care through drug development.
That experience shaped my understanding of how critical high-quality laboratory science is to advancing medicine. Ultimately, I chose medicine—and hematopathology—because it sits at the intersection of diagnostics, research, and patient impact.
SMY Pathology Consulting represents a full-circle return to that original mission. Today, I work closely with CROs, sponsors, and laboratories to ensure that clinical trials are supported by precise pathology interpretation, robust laboratory practices, and regulatory excellence.
